According to Phil’s prediction, we will be seeing six more weeks of winter this year.
I understand he’s only right 39% of the time. In comparison, an actual meteorologist’s long-range forecast is right maybe 50% of the time. Not bad for a rodent.
Of course, here in Grand County, Colorado, we almost certainly have more winter left than a mere 6 weeks. More like 3 – 3 1/2 months at a guess.
In fact, I remember one of my first summers here in the mountains, we got about 10 inches of snow on the 4th of July!
