Grand County is very popular with tourists and out of town visitors in nearly every season. Plenty of snow in the winter means lots of skiers, snowboarders, snowshoers, etc.
Cooler high altitude temperatures, multiple lakes and plenty of National Forest access means that our summers are busy too.
Those of us that call the mountains our home understand that much of our economy is dependent on that tourist traffic, and we are ok with that. Most of the time. But as a local, I’d like to share a few tips this week that will help ease relations with locals and allow beautiful areas to stay accessible and available for years in the future.
